Cucumber-Mint Green Tea Sangria

Green Tea Sangria

Light and refreshing, this sangria made with cucumber and mint infused green tea is perfect for the hot weather.

Ingredients

Serves 6

  • • 2 cups water
  • • 2 teaspoons of CitizenTea Sencha Organic green tea
  • • 1/2 cup sugar
  • • 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • • The leaves from 2 sprigs of fresh mint
  • • 1 bottle of chilled sparking wine
  • • Additional cucumber slices and mint for garnish
  • Directions

  • 1. Infuse 2 teaspoons of Sencha in 2 cups of 80°C water for 3 minutes.
  • 2. Strain tea into a large pitcher. Add sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Let cool for 20 minutes.
  • 3. Add the sliced cucumber and fresh mint to the green tea and stir.
  • 4. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours to allow the cucumber and mint to infuse the tea.
  • 5. Pour the entire bottle of chilled sparking wine into the infused green tea.
  • 6. Stir, pour over ice and garnish.
  • 7. Enjoy!
