Love this rooibos. I tried it unsweetened and tastes like an unsweetened nutty banana bread. Although I can see the chocolate in it, I am not sure why they call it “chocolate” rooibos, I found the banana flavour to be stronger than the chocolate, but both flavours still very subtle. Nice refreshing tea when no extra sweetener added. I do want to try it with sweetener (maybe honey) to see if it brings out more of the chocolate flavour as another comment suggested.

As soon as I opened the can I was a little weary because the tea didn’t smell as pleasant as I would have hoped; however once steeped and I had my first sip it was better than anticipated. It is definitely reminiscent of a chocolate covered banana !! I added a touch of chocolate agave to bring out the chocolate flavor more and to add a touch of sweetness 🙂
