Consumed for centuries for its reputed anti-aging, antioxidant and disease-fighting properties, Jiaogulan is often referred to as the “immortality tea”. Believed to improve digestion, aid in weight loss, improve sleep and decrease cholesterol, it’s no wonder where the tea gets its nickname. Jiaogulan is held in shape by a very light sucrose, which adds to its natural sweetness when infused. Each ball may be infused 3 – 5 times. Fresh, sweet, and amazingly healthy, this tea has it all. I recently ordered Jiaogulan because I am already familiar with this wonderful brew. However my 50g package contained only 2 balls and the remainder was crushed leaves. Now I know that it is still usable, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. The tea itself is great.

love it! i break it up instead of using a whole ball at a time. I get a few steeps with the little bits that I use too.

Yes, it is expensive, but I use the ball 3 times by increasing the steeping time each time.
Not sure of the medicinal claims as I haven’t used it long enough to tell anything yet but it is a marvelous tea and I do feel good after drinking it.

I have been drinking jiaogulan tea for years. Unfortunately the shop where I used to buy it closed down and I have tried unsuccessfully to replace it from numerous other companies only to be thoroughly disappointed.
I am so happy that I found Citizen Tea! The jiaogulan tea is a quality premium slightly sweet tea with no aftertaste or bitterness. As a wellness tea I find the benefits of drinking it daily too many to list here.
I do use the balls up to three times because I find the second and third time is perfect for at night before bed.
I could not be happier with my purchase and will definitely be ordering again in the future.

I tried this on a whim. It is a pleasant tasting drink however I did not find that it was all that good if you reused the tea ball as they suggest you can. would not probably order it again as it is expensive and I enjoyed other teas I ordered at the sametime more.

I tried this on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised! It has a slightly sweet herbal-y taste. Only downside is that you have to really squish it into the travel infuser.
