Description
Authentically Indian, authentically delicious. And how can it not be when you’ve blended a full-bodied black tea with spicy cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper? Undoubtedly, Masala Chai is recognized as a global favourite and is complimented well by steamed milk or sugar. Switch things up by adding brown sugar which will enhance the spicy notes, or condensed milk for extra richness. How does it go again, sugar and spice and everything nice? Someone was definitely onto something!

Delicious chai, nice and spicy. Have tried with honey to sweeten (no milk) – lovely. Will try steeping in milk sometime, should be excellent.

Got this as a sampler. Steeped it’s got a really nice spicy aroma! The tea itself looks amazing, long curled black tea leaves and big chunks of ginger and cloves. If you’re not a fan of black pepper in your tea you may want to avoid it as they’re definitely noticeable. Add cinnamon and cardamom to it and it’s quite nice. I kind of wish I’d made it a tea latte as I think it would have been yummy that way, but I’m taking it black. Actually they suggest maybe even adding sweetened condensed milk to it, I think that would be amazing! As it is, I’m trying it without any sweetener (need to try to retrain my tastebuds), so far so good. It didn’t steep as dark as I thought it would, funny.

Bought this tea as a gift for my picky husband and he is very happy. Describing why isn’t his thing but he loves this chai, so that speaks volumes. That and his reluctance to share!
